This policy explains what Ephemerati collects when you visit ephemerati.net, buy a subscription, or buy a gift subscription, and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Order details: your name, email address, and the mailing address you give for a subscription.
Gift details: the recipient's name and mailing address, the gift message, and the sender name you enter.
Payment details: entered on Stripe's checkout page. Ephemerati does not receive or store full card numbers. Stripe does.
Site activity: information collected by Google, Reddit, and Cloudflare tools, such as the pages you view and your approximate location.
Messages: anything you send us by email.

2. How we use it

To take payment, send subscriptions and gifts, and deliver the mailings.
To answer questions and handle delivery problems.
To understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising.
To meet our legal and tax obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with providers who help us run Ephemerati:

Stripe, for payments and receipts.
USPS and Canada Post, for delivery. They receive the name and mailing address on each mailing.
Netlify, which hosts the website.
Google, for site analytics and advertising measurement.
Reddit, for advertising measurement.
Cloudflare, for website performance and security.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and advertising

Google tags and the Reddit pixel on this site may set cookies to measure visits and conversions from our advertising. You can limit cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization through your Google and Reddit account settings.

5. Gift recipients

When you buy a gift, you give us the recipient's name and mailing address so we can send the mailings. Only enter details for someone who has agreed to receive a gift from you. The recipient can contact us with questions about their information.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and shipping records for as long as we need them to fulfil subscriptions and meet tax and accounting obligations. We delete information we no longer need.

7. Your choices

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. Email [email protected].

8. Security

Payments are handled by Stripe, and the website is hosted by Netlify. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Ephemerati is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
